Under a microscope.....

So have you nocitced that we have become a world where someone is always watching you? Back in time we used to have phones with cords and answering machines...now we have cell phones where you dont even have to call someone we just text them what we want to say...then there's website galour that where you can be in europe and still know what someone in arizona is doing. Life has become very open to everyone and anyone. Nothing really is private anymore...its like everyone is a celebrity one way or another. If youre on a reality show be prepared for your close up under that micrscope. It really makes you wonder why would someone be so interested in following everything you do? Or are you doing the same thing to someone else?

Well said - I wonder if in the case of Facebook and Twitter it's less about the illusion of celebrity than the illusion of connection. Intrinsic in the act of posting your update is the hope that someone will care enough to read that update, the hope that you are not alone. So in that case maybe it's not about feeling important so much as it is about just feeling wanted.
